Eiffage Énergie Systèmes takes part in the phased roll-out of 1,000 EV charge stations for charging point operator Yusco

Eiffage Énergie Systèmes has been working with Yusco, a subsidiary of the AFM-owned Voltalia Group, since 2025 to install charging points in the Auchan, Decathlon and Leroy-Merlin store car parks. The partnership aims to eventually roll out 10,000 charging points across 1,000 stations throughout France and is part of a drive towards smart charging that is built into consumers’ daily routines.

The partnership between the Energy Systems division and Yusco has already led to the roll-out of 17 stations, with facilities ranging from 4 to 30 charging points per station. The medium-sized stations at the Decathlon car park in Limoges (87) and the Auchan car park in Ferrette (68) have 8 and 14 charging points respectively. These charging stations, which complete the first contract signed in 2025, illustrate a wide range of needs: slow chargers (22 kW), fast chargers (50 to 100 kW) and ultra-fast chargers (up to 400 kW). “Each charging station is suited to the shop’s footfall and to Yusco’s strategy, which targets keeping customers in the shop for longer to encourage in-store spending,” explained project manager Alexandre Videmont. Charging electric vehicles is thus becoming an integral part of daily life, with no time constraints. In 2026, our experts will continue the roll-out with around twenty new stations, like the one at Decathlon Bourgoin-Jallieu (38). “We will also be installing a large EV charging station in the car park of the Decathlon Marcq-en-Baroeul Fitness Lab (59). 2026 will be a transitional year for Yusco, which wants to test its processes before stepping up the pace in 2027 and 2028,” said Alexandre Videmont. The projects carried out by our local branches are relatively straightforward and combine three key areas: light civil engineering (laying utility networks), electrical engineering (cable laying and connections), and the installation of charging points connected to dedicated electrical substations. As Charging Point Operator (CPO), Yusco oversees its terminals within the Le Plein, eMSP network. Ultimately, 1,000 stations are expected to be rolled out, with gradual upscaling from 2027 onwards. The projects are progressing in line with the agreements signed between Yusco and the retail outlets, and as any technical issues – such as the need for Enedis transformers – are resolved. “We aim to deliver high-performance EV charging stations in strict compliance with quality requirements and deadlines, while promoting low-carbon mobility accessible to everyone,” concluded Alexandre Videmont. With this ambition, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes is reaffirming its role as a key player in energy transition and in making electric vehicle charging accessible across France.
