Eiffage Énergie Systèmes reinforces Chartres Urban Area’s drinking water network in the Cathedral Square
As part of reinforcement work on Chartres Urban Area’s drinking water network, the water cycle department awarded the earthworks and pipe replacement contract to Eiffage . Our experts worked on the forecourt of Chartres Cathedral, a historic monument dating back to the 13th century.
The multi-year contract (2021-2024) between Eiffage and Chartres covers the renewal of drinking water pipes in the urban area’s 66 municipalities.
In Chartres, our employees dug trenches in the cathedral forecourt to install new cast-iron pipes (100 linear , diameter 100 and 250 linear , diameter 200). This preliminary work was carried out prior to the future development of the square.
